Objectives of the Harkstead Village Hall Charity

Registered Charity (No 304758)

Object of the charity:*

  1. The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:
    1. Meetings, lectures and classes and
    2. Other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation,
    3. with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants.

  2. The land identified in part 2 of the schedule of the scheme must be retained by the committee for use for the object of the charity

Addendum.

The hall trustees wish to encourage the different groups and individuals in the locality to maintain and expand the excellent community spirit that we believe binds the Village together.

In addition the trustees wish to encourage the use of the hall as a centre for the community, which will provide a facility for a variety of activities, including learning and social events.
